• Hello = 224.0.0.10 (whose on the link) Create NT
• Update – create TT
• Query – in case packet left, query will be sent to neighbor
• Reply – neighbor reply about the packet
• Ack

Successor (Two types)

• Primary Successor: PS is the shortest route which is placed in RT.
• Feasible Successor: FS is the backup route of the PS, which is placed in TT.
